Historic Downtown Cleveland Lunch

On Thursday, August 15, 2019, Historic Gateway Neighborhood Corporation (HGNC) and the Historic Warehouse District Development Corporation (HWDDC) hosts the 16th Annual Historic Downtown Cleveland Luncheon from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the English Oak Room located on the lower level of Tower City Center featuring three distinguished speakers, including Ohio Senator, Kirk Schuring.

The discussion, entitled “Urban Development: Political, Economic, & Design Challenges”, will explore current and emerging industry trends with an opportunity for Q & A from the audience. The panelists bring varied interpretations of economic development that include advocacy, education, and historic preservation – values central to the missions and programs of HGNC and HWDDC.

Featured Panelists:

Colum McCartan, Designer & Founder, McCartan (New York, NY)

  • Since 1996, Colum has brought innovative design to diverse projects and unique environments across the United States including hotels, restaurants, and resorts - most recently in Cleveland at the Westin.

Senator Kirk Schuring, Ohio District 29

  • Senator Schuring has a strong legacy of support for policy and legislation that fosters urban economic development.

Bill Struever, CEO, Cross Street Partners (Baltimore, MD)

  • Bill & Cross Point Partners find creative ways to reimagine urban properties, including the first stage redevelopment of the historic Dayton Arcade.

Registration and networking begin at 11:30 a.m. and the panel discussion is from noon to 1:30 p.m. Historic Downtown Cleveland Luncheon table sponsorship is open to the public and encouraged for real estate professionals, city planners, and economic development organizations.
